Darrell Haynes said, the suspect told the 19-year-old teller, 'Give me the money. I have a gun and I will use it.'
Police take that threat seriously, Haynes said, because of how the suspect has been seen handling his gun in surveillance footage.
'This individual is very familiar with guns and he's probably shot guns quite a bit,' he said. 'His friends, or people that know him, will know him to be a person who has a gun on a regular basis.'
A blue steel .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol has been used in each of the robberies, Haynes said.
While tips have come in to the Crime Stoppers hotline, he said, none of them have led to a break in the case yet.
The composite description of the suspect in the three robberies is a white man about 25 years old, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with light brown hair and gray eyes.
He has been either clean-shaven or sporting facial hair that has been growing for two or three days.
In each robbery, he has worn a camouflaged baseball cap, a blue pocket T-shirt with a red logo on the pocket, blue jeans and either Converse tennis shoes or brown work shoes.
'We think this individual will probably continue committing robberies until he is caught,' Haynes said

The previous record was of 118 people on board. A first of its kind in Kerala, the steel boat is 143.25 feet long and 5.74 feet wide. It weighs eight tonnes and has been christened as 'Aries Chundan'. On May 1, the boat carried a crew of 141 rowers, including five helmsmen, in Punnamada Lake in Alapuzha district

Governor Steve Beshear joined company and community officials to celebrate the grand opening of NPR Manufacturing Kentucky in Bardstown, Kentucky. The $48.7 million Japanese investment is NPRs first manufacturing facility in the state and the company expects to reach 150 employees.
Parent company Nippon Piston Ring Co., Ltd., headquartered in Saitama City, Japan, announced in May 2006, it would locate its newest manufacturing facility in Kentucky. The 200,000 square-foot plant, named NPR Manufacturing Kentucky, will produce steel piston rings, a key automotive engine component.

Brave Len Smith, a sapper with the Royal Engineer's Special Branch, turned trench warfare into a dangerous art form as he sneaked across No-Man's Land for the good of his country.

Armed with no more than a crumpled piece of paper, a pencil and crayons, he dodged bullets to create vital drawings of German troop positions, their weapons, formations and movements.
He would then stash the finished sketches - some in full colour - down his trousers and smuggle them out to Army top brass who would use them to plan military strategy.

Mr Smith's remarkable drawings were so accurate that they identified exact enemy numbers, types of weapons used, military bases and the geography of the land ahead.

In one of his most daring missions, Mr Smith crept within metres of an enemy HQ and drew a tree so accurately that boffins were able to recreate a perfect, hollow steel replica.

The real tree was removed under cover of darkness and replaced by the hollow replica - with a soldier stationed inside - who was able to report back every German movement.

In another sortie, Mr Smith spent four long days avoiding mortar shells and sniper fire to produce an incredible two-yard long, intricate panoramic view of enemy front line troops.

Opposite the sink is the drop-in Viking stove, and on this side Keith chose to have a taupe- stained cement counter and bar area. She explains she likes to entertain a lot, so the open counter/bar area allows her to be at the stove and still be able to talk with her guests, who may be seated at the bar, or who may be in the living room. After all, how can anybody be sure just where we're heading? It is worth remembering that when Herbert Hoover tried to cheer people up by telling them that 'prosperity is just around the corner,' he had at least some reason for believing that. Amazing as it may seem today, the stock market actually experienced a considerable, if temporary, rise after the dark days of October 1929. Not only that, the underlying economy did not show real signs of collapse for nearly a year after Wall Street did; not until the middle of 1930 did it begin to hit the defining marks of 25% employment, with the all-important steel industry operating at only 10% of capacity.
We're not close to that yet (or at least we hope not). Endemic uncertainty acts as an inhibition today, producing a kind of lately discovered humility among savants on and off the street who not very long ago rejected the possibility of anything like what we're witnessing today.
Perhaps the most potent inhibitor, however, is that the Great Depression happened. That is to say, because the Great Depression happened, it is unthinkable today that it could be allowed to happen again.
Since the mid-19th century, depressions had been, if not taken for granted, at least recognized as part of the business cycle, occurring with numbing regularity every 15 or 20 years. No one thought there was much you could do about them. The frankest and certainly cruelest expression of that fatalistic conviction was Secretary of the Treasury Andrew Mellon's advice to President Hoover about how to solve the Depression

The small but devoted crowd seemed well-versed in Lewis' sound and styles, which nearly always included an element of soul. There was country-soul on 'Rise Up With Fists!!' with gauzy steel guitar wafting through the breezy verses. She dialed in Southern soul on the new song 'Jack Killed Mom,' echoing a round, swinging bass line on piano before the song bloomed into tent-revival praise shouting. Her voice was a little flat on the noirish 'Pretty Bird,' but she sang with commanding confidence on the rollicking country tune 'Carpetbaggers,' a duet with acoustic guitarist (and boyfriend) Jonathan Rice.
Lewis' best turns came on songs from her first album, especially the gently regretful way she sang the quiet waltz-time 'Melt Your Heart' and the stripped-down, self-deprecating 'You Are What You Love.'
Lewis exited the same way she entered, getting up from the piano toward the end of 'Sing a Song for Them' and waving goodbye as the band vamped

DeKALB A pipeline being built through DeKalb County to pump crude oil is expected to be operating by April 2009, a spokesman for the pipeline construction company said Monday.Representatives from Enbridge Inc., a Canadian-based energy delivery company, presented details on the project Monday afternoon to a group of DeKalb County Farm Bureau members during a meeting at the DeKalb County Center for Agriculture building in Sycamore.The 133-mile long stretch of underground steel piping will allow Enbridge to pump 400,000 more barrels of oil per day to Chicago and central Illinois, Embridge spokesman Dave Henderson said during the presentation.Construction on the portion that runs through DeKalb County started in June. Henderson declined to specify Monday when asked when construction would wrap up in the county.The oil moved by the pipeline originates from the oil sands in northeastern Alberta, Canada, an area of oil-rich land about 30,000 square miles in size, Henderson said. The expansion is to keep up with growing demand of petroleum-based supplies by utilizing North American reserves, Henderson said. Canadian oil production is up to about 1.7 million barrels a day, Henderson said

That homeowner wanted the cables concealed, and at the time, metal was the only type of pole that could accomplish the goal, he said. Since then, laminate poles that look like wood have come into use, De La Rosa said.
After the agreement, the homeowner died and the property sat vacant until 2006. The new buyer of the home agreed to the terms of the deal with T-Mobile, the spokesman said.
T-Mobile officials wouldn't say how much they are paying the homeowner. Homeowner Melanie Witsman also declined to discuss the amount.
She said those who are complaining to city hall about the pole in front of her house likely are 'all calling from their cell phones.'
T-Mobile approached the PUD more than a year ago asking that the 75-foot wooden power pole at the location be replaced with the metal pole.
The PUD signed off on the type of pole because it met the utility's requirements for holding power lines and it didn't violate city law, Neroutsos said.
'It is common practice (at the PUD) to switch out poles for cell-related service,' he said. 'However, we have only five or six poles in our system that have been replaced with steel poles for this reason.'
T-Mobile paid the PUD $160,000 for the pole, Neroutsos said. After a meeting with the city, T-Mobile also has agreed to paint the pole brown and to landscape the area around its base. A couple of trees next to the former pole were removed before the new pole was installed.

Banking shares fell on worsening foreign currency liquidity worries even after Rhee dismissed worries that the country could fall into another foreign exchange crisis, saying local banks had no problem in rolling over their maturing short-term debt.[ID:nSEO313889]
Shinhan Financial Group shed 1.96 percent and Woori Finance Holdings was down 3.95 percent. Hana Financial Group lost 3.24 percent.
However some technology issues rebounded after their latest steep falls, helped by the weaker won currency, which makes South Korean products more price-competitive.
Samsung Electronics was up 0.19 percent and LG Electronics gained 1.95 percent.
But heavy industry issues tumbled as prospects of economic recession worsened sentiment towards the sector.
POSCO, the world's No.4 steelmaker, lost 2.22 percent and Hyundai Steel sank 5.21 percent.
Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world's No.1 shipbuilder, lost 4.71 percent and Samsung Heavy Industries fell 3.89 percent.

In 1928, five years earlier, the Hilltoppers took part in the dedication of Mountaineer Stadium.
Stambaugh had become a city in 1882 but never had a park for its residents. In 1924, Charles Nelson became city manager, and in 1930 Nelson and his family donated 6.55 acres of land for a football field and park. More land was later acquired from the Nelson family. Land on the north end was purchased from the Gust Djupe family and on the south end from Ulrick Anderson.
Many improvements have been made over the years, including a steel grandstand, a steel fence surrounding the park, tennis and basketball courts and improved lighting. In recent years, a new concession stand and handicap access were added, and the running track was rebuilt.
The next improvements are being announced by the Wykon Athletic Booster Club this week: a new $50,000 playground project, to be built next summer at the northeast corner of the Nelson Field complex. The long-planned project comes about thanks to all those who donated to the project, along with a grant from the Gametime Playground Co.
The Nelson Field complex, wrote Hinch, continues to be the finest in the Upper Peninsula, 75 years after that day in 1933

LOCAL steelmaker Southern Steel Bhd is cautiously optimistic of a rebound in steel prices come early next year.
'There is no reason for a collapse in steel prices on a longer- term basis because they are determined mainly by oil prices and partly by scrap prices,' group financial controller Koay Chong Beng told reporters before the company's extraodinary general meeting in Penang yesterday.
Nevertheless, he hopes the current financial turmoil in the US will be quickly settled to avert any impact on the real economy.
Koay said that Southern Steel's long-term strategy has always been to balance out its construction and industrial-grade steel businesses.
'In the event of a slowdown in the construction sector, we will be hurt less,' he said

The ministry said that the price of electricity, clean water, and public transportation would remain unchanged until the end of 2008.
The ministries of Science and Technology and Health Care and other ministries said they would check and issue quality standards for goods traded on the domestic market.
The ministry is also calling for regulations on imported scrap metal to ensure material for the domestic steel production and reduce import surplus.
By the and of 2008, the State Bank of Vietnam said it would tighten monetary policies in the domestic market, follow developments in the world financial and monetary markets, and closely supervise operations at commercial banks to have suitable management and ensure payment safety in the banking system and the economy.
Once these solutions are in place, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the domestic goods market should not see any sudden price increases in the fourth quarter of this year, and this years CPI would increase to no more than 25 percent.
